Supplier Quality Engineer for Manufacturing Improvement
Two positions open, one in China and one in Ocala, FL

Primary Responsibilities
The primary function of this position is to provide AMR and AMI product engineering support throughout the supply chain to assure quality and reliability are sustained and improved. The position is critical to coordinating supplier development and execution of a quality control plan which is in compliance with gate model deliverables and timing. This position must coordinate between the company reliability and the supplier and design teams in USA, UK and France to facilitate qualification testing and completion of all deliverables from a supplier perspective. Travel will be required, both domestically and internationally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong communication skills to interface effectively and diplomatically with other groups, domestically and internationally.
• A broad knowledge of and experience in manufacturing / supplier quality, preferably with RF systems exposure.
• Experience working with outsourced manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ANSI.
• ASTM, NSF and AWWA standards knowledge as advantage.
• Ability to perform Supplier Risk Assessment and Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings of all types is an advantage.
• Strong Electrical / Electronic background with working knowledge of RF systems.
• PCBA background / knowledge an advantage.
• Strong quality background having diagnostic abilities.
• Microsoft Suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Work with suppliers in providing quality product and effective process improvement.
• Ensure that engineering changes are instituted throughout whole supply chain.
• Assist with part / system change approval by coordinating various inspection reports.
• Issue Quality complaints to suppliers and follow up to insure effective corrective action.
• Think strategically, analyze issues, establish plans and manage execution.
• Act with integrity, coach and develop, successfully integrate teamwork, resolve conflict.
• Build effective internal and external relationships.
• Have a sense of urgency/drive for results.
• Motivate others and display organizational savvy and be adaptable.
• Supplier quality plan readiness for evolution launch must be influenced.

Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with eight to ten years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• CQE, CQA Certification
• Second language preferred-Spanish/Chinese/French
