With the market for new home starts and meter replacements equally important, the current trend in metering in North America is ensuring utility companies from Florida to California and Texas to Ontario are equipped with intelligent metering solutions that enable improved customer service and efficient measurement and control.

While Automated Meter Reading (AMR) is now well established, an increasing number of utilities are working with Elster to implement Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technologies that provide added business intelligence to both the utility and the end consumer.
