Demand Response
We work with strong partners to provide the most robust solution in Demand Response (DR) and consumer engagement. Our systems are certified SEP 1.0 by the ZigBee Alliance and are designed to support the pending ZigBee SEP 2.0. Elster's Demand Response initiatives enable utilities to manage growth and postpone new generation while empowering consumers to conserve energy and manage costs.
With two-way communications all the way to the home and a wide choice of in-home displays, smart thermostats and load control devices, EnergyAxis Demand Response solutions provide information direct from the meter, using the EnergyAxis network to transmit utility messages to consumers or commands to control devices. End devices use the network to acknowledge override commands or verify messages. Time-of-use (TOU) pricing information can also motivate customers to work with the utility to reduce peak load requirements and conserve energy.
Our open and interoperable technologies enable EnergyAxis partners to easily integrate with our secure two-way communications network. Their in-premise devices and solutions provide true efficiencies between the utility and the residential or commercial end user to encourage energy conservation and cost savings.
